Hooah! What a really nice blog post! In Web Designer Depot they made an article called Understanding Your Brain for Better Design: Left vs. Right.

Some quotes about our part: Left Brain

The left brain is the side that handles organization and logic.
Because of this, those that have a dominant left side are also very organized; they prefer schedules and deadlines, and love rules and regulations. They are more auditory learners, and are better at using words to remember things rather than visual aids.
They process ideas in a step-by-step, algorithmic way, and are therefore less prone to error.

Orderly Art = Left Brain
In contrast to abstraction, left brained people may be more attracted to a more ‘orderly’ form of art — either photo-realistic, or otherwise. As long as it is artwork with guidelines, form, and sense, it works.

Comparison between Moon, Planets and Stars

Starting from a small object in the universe, our pretty Moon, we will see in this video a comparison with planets such as Mercury, Venus, Mars, Earth, Saturn, going through our Sun up to the biggest star in the whole universe (known one): VY Canis Majoris. It is really awesome, isn’t it?

Did you know about the Universe…

Probably, most of you, readers, already know the videos of Did you know?, which are centered in giving social media related data, livened up by good music and images.

Well, some day, researching on YouTube I found the video in this post, similar to Did you know? ones, just instead of giving data about social media, the main character is the universe. It is really worth to watch it, specially starting from minute 3:41 up to the end.

This video was made by the webmaster of League Of Reason, pictures taken from Millennium Simulation and IYA2009 Trailer, finally music is from Röyksopp authorship. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

What happens when galaxies collide?

I think this video could explain it to you. It is an animation based on Hubble and computing calculations, because the fact is really slow, so we can’t “record” it. The nearest galaxies (one each other) are separated about 200.000 light years.

Aurora Borealis

Do you know what is it? Auroras, sometimes called the northern and southern (polar) lights or aurorae (singular: aurora), are natural light displays in the sky, usually observed at night, particularly in the polar regions. They typically occur in the ionosphere. They are also referred to as polar auroras. In northern latitudes, the effect is known as the aurora borealis, named after the Roman goddess of dawn, Aurora, and the Greek name for north wind, Boreas, by Pierre Gassendi in 1621.
